Jessica Alba and The Honest Company Sued

The Honest Company Logo

This time last month, Jessica Alba and The Honest Company were taking internet heat for their sunscreen which received multiple complaints of protection failures. Now, she and her company are facing a class action lawsuit for misleading consumers by claiming the products are all natural.

Don't worry about Jessica, her company is currently worth $1.7 billion. However, YOU as a consumer need to read and understand the ingredients in the products that you use. Even if you purchase an old stand-by, be sure to check out the label. It will save you some unpleasant surprises.
In court documents obtained by UPI, the plaintiff, Jonathan D. Rubin who is bringing the lawsuit against Honest individually and on behalf of all those similarly situated, accuses the product line of deceptively labeling their products as effective and containing natural ingredients.
Rubin and his lawyers single out the company's line of Honest Hand Soap, Honest Dish Soap, Honest Diapers and Honest Multi - Surface Cleaner as containing unnatural and toxic ingredients such as Methylisothiazolinone, Phenoxyethanol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Sodium Polycrylate. Read more.
